An attractive map of Japan published in 1778 in Venice by Santini. The map is based on the work of the French mapmakerRobert de Vaugondy who published his map in Paris in 1750. Interestingly both Mer du Japon (Sea of Japan) and Mer de Coree (Sea of Korea) appear along the respective countries' coastline.
