Description:
A magnificent view of the city of Victoria, Hong Kong Harbour and Kowloon from the Mid-Levels.
The photograph was taken from the Peak Road (later changed to the Old Peak Road). To the left of the photograph is the outstanding Marble Hall that was built for the business man Sir Paul Chater a few years before.
The key to dating this panorama is the construction of the new Jardine House at the corner of Pedder Street, the original building was pulled down in 1907. Also the new Law Courts are under construction which were completed in 1912.
