Description:

A Particular Map of the Entrance into Canton. Lower left is the island of Sanciam with the sepulchre of St Francis Xavier. Macao appears towards the middle and to the right is Lantao or the Three Magpies. Inset is the Plan of Quang-Tcheou Fou or Canton, showing details of the walled city, the suburbs, the forts and the river. Within the walls are shown are The Tartarian City, handsome and well built and the house of the French Jesuits within the Chinese City.
