Description:
A charming map of Asia published in Amsterdam in the first half of the seventeenth century.
Following the success of the Mercator / Hondius Atlas Major in 1606 Jodocus Hondius published the smaller format, Atlas Minor from 1607. From 1628 Hondius's son-in-law Jan Jansson published new editions of the Atlas Minor with slightly larger engravings by Petrus Kaerius and Abraham Goos.
