An uncommon plan of the City of Ningpo showing the old walled city beside the River Yung and the River Tzekee and the river junction Sankiangkow.. On the other side of the River Tzekee are the Foreign Residences, Factories and Anchorages. Also shown are the Consulates of Portugal, Britain, America and France.

 

Ningpo was established as one of 5 Treaty Ports in 1843 from which time foreigners were permitted to trade there.
