Description:

The Tourist's Map of Hongkong describing Fifteen walks on the Island. Plus a Picnic Trip to Lamma Island. Published by  R . C. Hurley. Hongkong. Printed by The Oceania Litho, Hongkong.

The Englishman Robert Crisp Hurley published one of the earliest tourist guides to Hong Kong in 1896. Lamma Island was ceded in 1897 with the New Territories.

This rare tourist map lists a choice of walks:  1 - 8 start at the Peak to various locations; 9 - 14 start at the Clock Tower on Pedder Street. Walk 15 is on Kowloon side. The approximate distance is given.

There are many interesting details for the keen walker who might like to explore the interior, including roads, hill paths and landmarks, even the golf links at Deepwater Bay. Who could possibly get lost?

Exceedingly Rare.
