A rare city plan of Hong Kong printed in Manila in 1897 by Chofré y Comp. It was folded into the official guide to the Philippines, "la Guia Oficial de las Islas Filipinas del ano 1897".
Salvador Chofre was a Spanish publisher who emigrated to Manila in the late 19th century. He was involved with publishing the official guide book of the Philippines for the government. He also published a rare map of the Philippine Islands in 1898.
This is only the second time we have had this map. The first time was about 30 years ago.

Condition
The paper is quite fragile and there are some tears along the folding lines which have been supported on the reverse.
