Description:
A view from the Peak showing the City of Victoria with early Chater reclamation c1895. The Harbour and Kowloon, Wanchai and Causeway Bay are in the distance. The reclaimed land can be seen beyond the cricket pitch but work on the new Hong Kong Club does not appear to have started. The new six-story extension of the Hong Kong Hotel on Pedder has been completed.
The photograph was possibly taken by the British photographer, David Knox Griffith.
