This distictive building was completed in 1896. The front was originally on the waterfront or Praya, which would become Des Voeux Road. The back entrance was on Queen's Road.
This small albumen print was from a Queen Victoria Jubilee Album of Hong Kong produced in 1897 which contained 60 photographs.
