A pair of albumen prints forming a panorama probably taken by a German photographer as the caption in ink below the photos is, Hongkong vom hafen aus geschen.
The view is taken from the harbour looking back toward the north side of the island of Hong Kong. In the picture on the left is the receiving ship HMS Tamar in the Man-of-War Anchorage before the military cantonment. In the picture on the right Victoria Peak looms over the graceful houses of the Mid-Levels and the Central District of Hong Kong.
