A charming view of flower boats and sampans moored on the waterfront at Canton. some of the views that Afong took of the Pearl River and Canton are beautifully framed by his lens and each is an historical snapshot of a city that is thousands of years old, evoking the atmosphere and climate, the flowing river, wooden buildings, junks and sampans. One can feel the people, sounds, colours and smells of an ancient metropolis.
