This three-part panoramic photograph was taken from the bottom of Peak Road (now Old Peak Road) looking north across Central, the Harbour and Kowloon. To the left is Stonecutters' Island and the Union Church which would shortly be moved to Kennedy Road. In the middle section in the foreground is Victoria Prison and Central Police Station beyond the harbour is Kowloon Peninsula with the Marine Policy Station and Observatory. In the right section is the brand new Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank with splendid views to the east of Wanchai, Causeway Bay and North Point.
