A Parsee seated beside a table with his son standing beside him. They are both carrying umbrellas and wearing traditional costumes and hats.
An early and unusual portrait photograph stuck on card. The Parsee community in Hong Kong was quite small at this time. Many were merchants with trading connections to Bombay and India.
The photograph was taken by Milton Miller in his studio Hong Kong c1862. The style of the portrait, design of the carpet and use of props such as tables and chairs help to identify Miller's studio.
