Chinese artist Guo Chan or Guo Shang produced a series of stylised views of Hong Kong and Shanghai in the 1930s.
A wonderful view of Hong Kong Harbour in the late 1930s created by the Chinese artist Guo Shang. It was printed in Shanghai by Zee Shin Kee Offset Printing Factory, 175 Hart Road, Shanghai.
The view is full of imagination as different ships and boats appear in the harbour such as battleships, passenger liners, star ferry and pleasure craft. Also aeroplanes, bi-planes and clippers.
