The Second Bar was 10 miles upstream from the Bocca Tigris. European and Chinese shipping can be seen in the distance in the Bocca Tigris (Bogue, Humen), a narrow strait in the Pearl River. The islands of Chuenpee and Annunghoy on the eastern side and Tycoktow on the western side.
